To use EBT at Trader Joe’s, here are a few easy steps to remember:

  1. When it’s time to pay, swipe your EBT card in the point of sale machine
  2. You will then have to enter your PIN
  3. If you do not have enough money in your EBT account to cover SNAP-eligible items, the machine will then ask if you want to use
    a credit/debit card or cash to pay for the rest of the items.
